Sourced from their native homeland China, our goji berries are not only a delicious snack but are also high in potassium, iron, copper, and fibre as well as a source of vitamin C, vitamin B6 and protein. Enjoy as a healthy snack or substitute for raisins in baking recipes.

Also known as ?wolf berries?, gojis originate from small densely branches trees found growing wild in mountainous areas throughout Asia and Europe. These trees are well adapted to the tough climate of the Himalayas, tolerating temperatures as low as ? 26?C and as high as 40?C. Each tree produces approximately 1kg of gojis before the small reddish-orange fruits are handpicked and sundried to retain their delicious, sweet flavour.

Goji berries have a reputation in traditional Chinese medicine for improving vision, combatting male impotence, supporting the liver and for preventing premature ageing. They are considered to belong to the ?Tonic herbs for Yin Deficiency? meaning they rebalance an excess of ?yang? by restoring hydration and improving blood circulation. Gojis are also known to contain lyceum barbarum polysaccharides which are compounds associated with improving the body?s ability to fight disease.

Rich in potassium, iron and copper, goji berries contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system, to normal cognitive function and to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
